Get ready for a day of fun, tradition, and friendly competition at the California Rodeo Salinas' Junior Rodeo! Whether you're a seasoned young rider or just starting out, this event is the perfect way to connect with our Western roots and showcase your rodeo skills.


📅 Event Details:

  • Date: Saturday, September 6, 2025
  • Location: Salinas Sports Complex, 1034 N. Main Street, Salinas, CA
  • Check-In: 7:30 AM – 8:30 AM
  • Pee Wee Check- In: 8:30AM - 9:30AM
  • Competition Begins: 9:00 AM
  • Pee Wee Arena Begins: 10 AM
  • Attire: Western wear required—including a cowboy hat. Helmets are allowed.
  • Entries: Open 8/1 - 9/1 (via Saddlebook link)
  • Pee Wee Contestants: Can enter Pee Wee events OR horseback events but not both.

Parking/Entry



🕑 Barn Office Opens: Friday, September 5th at 2:00 pm

🚛 Horse Trailers: Please enter the Sports Complex from Maryal Drive by Tatum’s Garden (back of the complex).
🅿️ Parking Details: Parking is self-serve – please be mindful of driveways and your surroundings.
You may park inside the track if space is available.
Do not park on the track – it will be used to warm up horses.


🚙 Cars Only: If you are traveling in just a car, the large parking lot next to the softball fields will be available, and the spectator gate will be open to walk across the track.


🎟 Admission Information

No tickets are required for entry and there are no admission fees.

🚗 From Highway 101 North:

  1. Take the Laurel Drive Exit
  2. Turn right onto Laurel Drive
  3. Turn right onto Maryal Drive
  4. Turn right into the back entrance of the grounds (located between Tatum’s Garden and Atlantic Little League)

🚗 From Highway 101 South:

  1. Take the Laurel Drive Exit
  2. Turn left onto Laurel Drive
  3. Turn right onto Maryal Drive

The Central Coast Young Farmers & Ranchers will be serving up delicious eats at their food booth during the Junior Rodeo on Saturday, September 6th.

Each meal includes:
