Cowboy Church

Pastor Matt Kirkland is the Hollister Campus Pastor at South Valley Community Church. Pastor Matt has been married to his wife, Amy, for over 33 years and has four adult children.

He grew up in the farm country of the Central Valley of California. His family grew olives just outside Lindsay, CA, but Matt enjoyed working as a ranch hand out with the Herefords through his high school years.

Since entering the ministry, his ranching days are behind him, but he still wears boots and wranglers to church on Sundays.

His calling now is to share the love of Jesus and help build God’s Kingdom, starting in Hollister and then everywhere the good Lord will lead him.

BROOKE started singing on the Theater Stage where her powerful and unique vocals captured music producers from LA and led to her recording music professionally starting at 16 years old.

EMIL has performed on stages all over the US, Canada, and parts of Europe. He also has many years of recording experience for his own original bands and regularly records guitars for other recording artists.

Brooke and Emil met in 2018 when they filled in for each other's bands. During a rehearsal, Emil picked up an acoustic guitar and started playing, Brooke started singing and Emil joined her with a harmony.

That was the beginning of the duo Brooke & Emil.
