2024 Event Dates

We have several 2024 events planned at the California Rodeo that you can complete your community service hours at.

May 4^th - Relay for Life BBQ

May 5^th - Monster Jam is Sunday

June 22^nd - California Rodeo Committee BBQ

July 10^th – 17^th - Concert Set-up and Teardown

July 14^th -Kiddie Kapers Parade

July 17^th - Extreme Bulls, Wednesday

July 18^th – 21^st - The California Rodeo Salinas

Oct. 10^th – 13^th - Fall Roundup

Dec. 12^th - Country Christmas

Volunteer Orientation: May 1st and July 10^th

Orientation is mandatory for all first time volunteers.

Check-in at the Volunteer Services Office (1050 North Main St.)

We'd love to have you volunteer with us!

Please print the form below, fill it out, sign it and have your parents/guardian sign it and submit to your Work Experience Counselor at your school.*

*Even if you know someone who volunteers for the Rodeo and recruited you, you must go through this process to earn your hours.

SUHSD Graduation requirements include 40 hours of community service.

As a graduating 8th grader entering high school, you can start earning hours this summer with the California Rodeo.

Here's how to sign up:

Download a Community Service Contract application at Student Services / Community Service HERE. Print it out and have it signed by the school Work Experience Counselor on staff at Mission Trails R.O.P. located at 867 E. Laurel Dr. in Salinas
Download and fill out a California Rodeo Student Volunteer application found HERE
Upload, in PDF format your signed Community Service Contract and email it to volunteerservices@carodeo.com

Once the above steps are completed, a California Rodeo Volunteer Services representative will contact you with more information including mandatory orientation days and how to sign up for specific areas.

The deadline for students to submit contract approvals is May 23rd.
All contracts that are not turned in to schools by the deadline need to go through Mission Trails for approval.
