Mutton Busting

Date: July 16 - July 20, 2025

The mutton busting event at the California Rodeo is a crowd- pleaser and takes place on the track daily.

Young buckaroos ride sheep hoping to make the longest ride and, NEW THIS YEAR, the rider who stays on the longest during each performance will win a belt buckle!

DETAILS:

Children ages 4-7 with a maximum weight of 60 pounds are eligible to ride.
Must be within age/weight limits on day of ride.
The entry fee is $50.00

Mandatory:

Rodeo-supplied helmet & vest must be worn to ride (NO EXCEPTIONS).
A waiver will be signed by parent(s)/guardian(s) on day of ride.
No spurs allowed.

Filling out an entry form does not guarantee a spot to ride. Submit ONE entry per child. Incomplete entries will not be considered.

Entries are due by midnight on April 30th, 2025. Entries will be drawn, and riders will be notified by the end of the day on May 8th.
