The California Rodeo Salinas will take place July 17-20, 2025 with two night and two day performances.

The California Rodeo Salinas is one of the top 15 professional rodeos in the US out of over 600 and the largest rodeo in California. With over 110 years of tradition and a little bit of something for everyone, it's an event you don't want to miss.

Not only are the top cowboys and cowgirls featured in the arena and on the track, but there are food and shopping vendors, saloons, and more. The whole family will enjoy this affordable community event.

Thursday, July 17th: Gates open at 4 pm, Grand Entry at 6 pm, Rodeo 6:30 pm, ends at approximately 10:00 pm*

Friday, July 18th: Gates open at 4 pm, Grand Entry at 6 pm, Rodeo 6:30pm, ends at approximately 10:00 pm*

Saturday, July 19th: Gates open at 11 am, Grand Entry at 1:15 pm, Rodeo 2:00 pm, ends at approximately 5:45 pm*

Sunday, July 20th: Gates open at 11 am, Grand Entry at 1:15 pm, Rodeo 2:00 pm, ends at approximately 5:15 pm*

Slack Times

Slack is where the overflow of contestants in the timed events compete.

Arena slack will include team roping, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, and breakaway roping. The order will be breakaway roping, tie-down roping, steer wrestling, and team roping.
