Fall Round Up Festival

The California Rodeo Salinas will host the second annual Fall Round Up Festival at the Salinas Sports Complex October 12th-15th.

Purchase tickets online today.

Join us for a carnival, pumpkin patch, food, drinks, live music, games, and more fall fun. The event is presented by Brent Eastman Insurance Services, Inc.

There is NO RODEO during this event; it is produced by the California Rodeo Association.

Open daily:*
Thursday, October 12th - 4pm to 10pm
Friday, October 13th - 4pm to 10pm
Saturday, October 14th - 12pm to 10pm
Sunday, October 15th - 12pm to 6pm

*Tickets sold from opening to until 90 minutes prior to close.

*Entry closes 1 hour prior to close.

*Last carnival rides are 15 minutes prior to close.


Admission:
$12 for Adults (13+)
$7 for Kids (12-2)
Under 2 is free

Carnival Wristbands:
$30 + fees for pre-sale unlimited ride wristbands before October 12th
$40 + fees for onsite unlimited ride wristbands

PUMPKIN PATCH

There will be a satellite pumpkin patch for The Patch on River Road onsite at the south end of the complex with pumpkin transfer service back to the parking lot. The pumpkin patch will be open during operating hours October 12th-15th.


{Pumpkins are not included with the price of admission}

The Pumpkin Patch is presented Carlon's Fire & Safety.


The pumpkin shuttle is presented by MY Cars.

PUMPKIN PAINTING

Purchase a pumpkin on-site and enjoy complimentary (washable) paints in the kids' area to decorate your pumpkin while you are here.

Height requirements and more information can be found here: https://woldamusements.com/rides. Some rides allow kids to be accompanied by an adult, but there aren't many rides for smaller children (under 3) and there are no refunds for carnival wristbands.

PHOTO BOOTH

Heart Bank Deposits will provide a photo booth on Saturday, October 14th and Sunday, October 15th. Be sure to commemorate your trip to the Fall Round Up Festival with a complimentary photo booth photo.

KIDS ACTIVITIES

There will be a Kids' Activity Area sponsored by Black Bear Diner to have fun (included with admission) at the south end of the midway. The area will include inflatables, giant bubbles, face painting, and more.

Friday, October 13th 5pm-8pm
Saturday, October 14th 12:30pm-5pm
Sunday, October 15th 12:30pm-5pm

Purchase one (1) kids’ meal at Elli’s Great American Restaurant or Black Bear Diner and receive one (1) kids' general admission (ages 2-12) voucher for the Fall Round Up Festival. Voucher must be redeemed at the Salinas Sports Complex Ticket Office only. Voucher CANNOT be used to upgrade ticket. Subject to availability. Good only for the following dates, Thursday, October 12th, Friday, October 13th, Saturday, October 14th, and Sunday, October 15th, 2023. The Ticket Office opens at 4pm on October 12th. COSTUME CONTEST

We will have a costume contest for children daily at the Fall Round Up Festival. The rules and times are listed here:

  • Ages newborn – 12 years old
    • 1st-3rd place for newborn - six years old
    • 1st-3rd place for seven years old 12 years old
  • Thursday & Friday 6pm
  • Saturday 2pm & 6 pm (we added the 6pm contest)
  • Sunday 4pm (NEW TIME!)
  • At the Stage in the middle of the midway
  • Check in 15 minutes before the start of the contest
  • Costume Policy in effect (see guidelines below)

The Money Band will play on Friday, October 13th from 6:30pm to 9:00pm.

The Kindred Soul Band will play on Saturday, October 14th from 6:30pm-9:30pm.

Samz School of Rock

Samz School of Music will play Sunday, October 15th from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.

The Entertainment Stage is presented by Sturdy Oil.

COSTUME GUIDELINES

Costume guidelines for ALL AGES:

  • The Fall Round Up Festival is a family-focused event; all costumes must be appropriate for children of all ages.
  • Costumes must be family-friendly and may not be obstructive, offensive, suggestive, objectionable, obscene, or violent.
  • Costume props are strongly discouraged and may be prohibited from entry.
  • Costumes may not contain any props or accessories that resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon.
  • No sharp or pointed objects or materials that could injure other guests.
  • No costume masks, veils, long trains, or live animals are permitted.
  • All patrons must wear shoes.
  • If a patron is spotted in a costume that is not deemed appropriate, they will be asked to either remove the costume and change into something more appropriate or exit the park.
  • The Rodeo reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to refuse admission to any patron with a costume that it deems is inappropriate or does not conform to these guidelines.
  • A patron wearing a costume may be prohibited from riding some or all carnival rides if the carnival operator determines, in its sole discretion, such costume could be a risk to property or persons.
