Mutton Busting

The mutton busting event at the California Rodeo is a crowd- pleaser and takes place on the track daily. Young buckaroos ride sheep hoping to make the longest ride and come back on Sunday to compete for the championship belt buckle.

DETAILS:
Children ages 4-7 with a maximum weight of 60 pounds are eligible to ride.
Must be within age/weight limits on day of ride.
The entry fee is $50.00 and includes a Rodeo ticket for the rider and 1 adult for the day they are drawn to ride.

Mandatory:
Rodeo-supplied helmet & vest must be worn to ride (NO EXCEPTIONS).
A waiver will be signed by parent(s)/guardian(s) on day of ride.
No spurs allowed.

Filling out an entry form does not guarantee a spot to ride.

Entries are due by midnight on June 6, 2024. Riders will be drawn on Friday, June 7, 2024 and notified the following week. Please do not call the office, we will contact you if your child was selected.
