The California Rodeo Association is a not-for-profit organization, best known for producing the California Rodeo Salinas each July, that manages the Salinas Sports Complex year-round. The complex hosts numerous community events each year such as concerts, equine competitions, weddings and more. Past President and current General Manager Jim Slaten will be retiring in April of 2023, so the organization is seeking applicants for the general manager position.
The general manager reports to the president of the California Rodeo Association and duties include overall responsibility for the management of the Salinas Sports Complex, a 90-acre facility that is leased from the City of Salinas. The general manager will also oversee the finance, marketing, operations, and maintenance of the facility, as well as serve as the primary liaison for the California Rodeo Association with the City of Salinas. The California Rodeo Association is a not-for-profit organization that strives to preserve and promote the traditions of the California Rodeo Salinas and the West.
