CULLEN TELFER WINS BIG WEEK BULL RIDING XTREME BULLS EVENT FOR SECOND TIME

A sold-out crowd of 10,500 fans packed the Salinas Sports Complex Wednesday night for the Big Week Bull Riding Xtreme Bulls, presented by Salinas Valley Ford. One of the most anticipated events of Big Week, Xtreme Bulls has sold out every year since 2015-2019 and 2022-2026.

Cullen Telfer, of Plant City, Florida, claimed the championship after covering two bulls for a combined score of 172 points. In the long round, Telfer scored 83.5 points aboard Uncorked from Corey & Lange. He returned in the championship round to ride Chuck's Boy from Four Star Rodeo for 88.5 points, securing the title. Telfer also won the event here in 2023.

The Rancho San Lucas Championship Buckle was presented to Telfer following the event.

The action continues at the 116th California Rodeo Salinas, July 16-19, featuring the world's top rodeo athletes competing in eight exciting events.

Thursday, July 16, is Wrangler Bucking Cancer Night. Fans who bring an empty Coca-Cola bottle or can to the gate after 10 a.m. can purchase a $10 general admission ticket. Gates open at 4 p.m., with rodeo action beginning at 6 p.m.
