A sold-out crowd of 10,498 people watched the Big Week Bull Riding Xtreme Bulls event at the Salinas Sports Complex tonight. Presented by Salinas Valley Ford, the Big Week Bull Riding continues to be one of the most popular events held each July, selling out from 2015-2019, 2022-2024. Colton Byram of Mound City, KS covered two bulls to win the championship – he scored 81.5 points on Red Neck from Four Star Rodeo and 91 points on Chucks Boy from Four Star Rodeo- with a total score of 172.5. Rancho San Lucas sponsored the championship buckle.
Tickets are available for the upcoming California Rodeo Salinas, July 17th-20th, twenty-four hours a day at www.carodeo.com. Thursday, July 17th, is Bucking Cancer night at the Rodeo. Fans can bring an empty Coca-Cola bottle or can to the gate after 10 am to receive a $5 admission ticket. Gates open at 4 pm and the show starts at 6 pm.
