Wrangler Tough Enough to Wear Pink Night, presented by Mechanics Bank and Salinas Valley Health, drew 12,285 people to the Salinas Sports Complex for the first performance of the 113th California Rodeo Salinas. That total is up 16% over Thursday night ticket sales in 2022. The stands were full of fans in their pink shirts and cowboys hats cheering on the cowboys and cowgirls and helping their community at the same time. $1 from each ticket sold tonight will be donated to the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Salinas Valley Health.

Josh Frost is leading the bull riding with a score of 84.5. Sara Winkelman is leading the barrel racing with a time of 16.23. Brenten Hall and Paden Bray are sitting first in the first round of team roping with a time of 6.6. Ty Harris has the fastest time on two calves at 20.7 seconds. Tucker Allen leads the aggregate in the steer wrestling with a time of 13.9 after two runs. Statler Ray Wright scored an 86 in the saddle bronc riding. A score of 79 by Jess Pope leads the bareback riding and Samantha Fulton has a time of 8.4 on two calves in the breakaway roping.
