CLEM ALBERTONI COWBOY GATHERING HAPPENING MARCH 25TH

THE EVENT FEATURES COWBOY MUSIC, POETRY, DINNER & MORE
01/30/2023

The Clem Albertoni Cowboy Gathering presented by Taylor Farms will take place Saturday, March 25th at the Fox Theater in Salinas, CA. The event is produced by the California Rodeo Association and is held in memory of long-time master of ceremonies and cowboy poet Clem Albertoni who passed away in 2021. Albertoni, a local Monterey County legend, was involved in the event for years.

The traditional western event will feature cowboy music, poetry, dinner and more. Tickets are $80 for dinner and the show and $40 for balcony seats (no dinner). Doors will open at 5pm, dinner will be served at 6pm and the show will begin at 7pm. Part of the proceeds benefit the California Rodeo Salinas’ Heritage Museum. Dinner will be provided by Pasta Mia Event Planners. Get full details and purchase tickets online starting at 10am on February 1st at https://www.carodeo.com/events/2023/clemalbertonicowboygathering. In addition to music and poetry, there will be live and silent auctions and a no-host bar.

Entertainers for the evening include Gary Allegretto, Mike Beck, and Trinity Seely. Allegretto is the 2019 International Western Music Association Male Performer of the Year. A talented harmonica player, Allegretto is also a remarkable singer, songwriter, guitarist, and a masterful entertainer. Beck is an engaging solo artist who regularly performs in the US and Europe. He has several albums under his belt with original songs that have been recognized as some of the finest compositions on Western Americana out there. Seely draws from her own cowgirl experiences growing up on her family’s guest ranch in British Columbia, living in Wyoming on a working cattle ranch and now running a horse program in Ojai, CA. She writes and sings songs from a cowgirl point of view.

A youth cowboy poetry contest runs from February 1st to March 13th. Competitors must be 18 years old or younger. Winners will receive rodeo souvenirs and 4 tickets to the California Rodeo Salinas July 20th-23rd. Their poems will be featured via video at the event on March 25th. Get an entry form and full details at carodeo.com.
