The California Rodeo Salinas is offering two scholarship opportunities in 2022. The California Rodeo Association has been supporting youth education since 1986 when a scholarship program was established with Hartnell College. In 2022, Salinas Valley high school students who are attending or graduating from Hartnell College can apply for that scholarship ranging from $2500 to $5000 starting November 15, 2021. The scholarship program run through Community Foundation for Monterey County allows students who are California Rodeo Salinas Committee Members or related to Committee Members to apply for a $5000 scholarship and they can use the money to attend any college or other post high school education program, including trade school. The Hartnell and Community Foundation Rodeo scholarship programs will each award multiple scholarships with varying amounts allocated to each student who earns an award.
- Applications for the Hartnell College scholarships will be accepted from November 15, 2021 until March 2, 2022.
- Applications for the Community Foundation for Monterey County scholarships will be accepted from January 3, 2022 until March 15, 2022.
