The Central Coast Motorsports Spectacular (CCMS) will be back with family-friendly, affordable motorsports action on Sunday, October 14th. The event, held at the Salinas Sports Complex, features Monster Trucks, Tractor Pulls and the Farmer 500 race. Presented by Gold Star Buick GMC, tickets start at $10 for children ages 2-12, $22 for adults in the grandstands and $27 for box seats for all ages. Gates will open at noon and the action starts at 2pm.
Tickets are on sale now at the Salinas Sports Complex ticket office located at 1034 N. Main Street in Salinas, open Monday through Friday 10am to 6pm for walk up sales and phone orders (800-549-4989); the box office will also be open Saturday, October 6th and 13th from 10am to 6pm and will open at 10am the day of the show. The Monster Truck competition is presented by Coors and will showcase eight giant trucks jumping ramps and crushed cars. The truck line up is*: Titan, Dragon Slayer, Kamikaze, Wicked, Cyclops, The Patriot, Hell Razor and Vendetta. Ace High Designs presents the Truck and Tractor Pulls with different classes of trucks and tractors showing off their horse power as they pull a two-ton sled across the dirt floor. The Farmer 500 race is presented by Braga Fresh Family Farms and features four cylinder cars racing around the track, sometimes swapping paint as they run into each other. The Chairman of the CCMS Committee Matt Jenkinson says, “The Central Coast Motorsports Spectacular will entertain all ages and is a great way for families to spend their Sunday.”
There will be a pit party on Saturday, October 13th from 12pm to 5pm at the Salinas Sports Complex; drivers will be available for autographs from 2 to 4pm and Monster Trucks will be out on the lawn along North Main Street.
