Taylor Howell

Hailing from Sonora Taylor Howell represents her home town rodeo as Miss Mother Lode Round Up. The daughter of Gary and Krista Howell plans to attend CSU Chico in the fall to study Agricultural Business. Taylor has learned the value of hard work and preparation by showing horses at a young age in a variety of events including cutting, Western, English, gymkhana, high school rodeo and most recently reined cow horse. In addition to being recognized for her academic excellence, she was also very active in the high school athletic fields of basketball, tennis, volleyball, swimming and soccer. During the winter you may find her on the ski slopes as a ski instructor or competing in slalom and giant slalom events. With a great deal of coaching experience Taylor volunteers at many youth athletic camps and leagues. Her absolutely favorite part of the rodeo is the pageantry of the grand entry.

Carollann Rietta Scott

From the south Carollann Rietta Scott enters as Miss Aqua Dulce Women’s Club. The daughter of Ben and Tracey Scott is studying Journalism at the University of Arizona. She worked her way up from reporter to anchor of student campus television and upon graduation plans to do the same at a television station in California. Carollann started competing in Jr. Rodeo and placed on the state and national levels of Junior High and High School Rodeo. She dedicates herself to giving back to CHSRA as their Special Rodeo Coordinator and helping put on adapted rodeos for special needs children throughout California. Currently a member of the UA Rodeo Team, she has held offices, organized events and competed in breakaway roping, team roping and barrel racing. Carollann was nominated by the NIRA Grand Canyon Region for the Walt Garrison Award that is presented to rodeo students who exemplify integrity, commitment, loyalty, honesty, leadership and perseverance.
