A sold out crowd of 9,987 sat on the edge
of their seats Wednesday night watching the Professional Bull Riders take on
some rank bulls at the Salinas Sports Complex during their stop on the PBR’s
BlueDEF Velocity Tour, presented by Salinas Valley Ford. Attendance was up 1.6%
from last year. The PBR continues to be one of the most popular events held
during Big Week each year and revenue was up 3.3%. The champion this year was
Reese Cates, former Rookie of the Year, with a total of 86 points on one bull. The
cowboys had a tough time staying on and no one rode their second bull during
the short round. Second place went to Michael Lane with a score of 85.5 and
third place went to Tyler Harr with an 84.
