28th Annual Cowboy Music & Poetry Gathering at the California Rodeo

Join us for Cowboy Poetry, Wine Tasting, Music and more Sunday, July 12th

The California Rodeo Salinas hosts its 28th annual cowboy poetry Big Week kickoff event on July 12th. Attendees will experience an afternoon full of wine tasting, barbecue, cowboy poetry, music and more. This year, the gathering will feature western artists, Cow Bop, Amaya Rose Dempsey, Gary Allegretto and local, Clem Albertoni will be the Master of Ceremonies. Clem is a local legend and entertaining cowboy poet from Soledad, California.

 

The Cowboy Music & Poetry Gathering will be held at Sherwood Hall at 940 N. Main Street in Salinas on Sunday, July 12th. Doors open at 1:00pm for wine tasting and barbecue. Open mic begins at 1:45pm and the show will begin at 2:30pm. Tickets for the event are now on sale now online at http://www.carodeo.com/events/2015/cowboy-poetry or at the door on July 12th. Tickets are $30 for adults and $5 for children 12 years of age or younger. Wine and barbecue tickets will be sold separately and will be available for purchase at the event. This special afternoon benefits the Foundation for Monterey County Free Libraries.
