Get ready to laugh with John Harrison, one of rodeo’s most recognizable entertainers. Known to fans as part of “The Clown Family,” John travels the rodeo road alongside his wife, Carla, and their children, bringing family-friendly fun, humor, and high-energy entertainment to audiences across the country.
A member of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association since 1999, John began his career as a trick rider, Roman rider, and trick roper before becoming an award-winning rodeo clown and barrelman. He has worked rodeos coast to coast and made 13 appearances at the prestigious Wrangler National Finals Rodeo—three as a specialty act performer and 10 as a barrelman. John also carries on a rich rodeo legacy as the grandson of legendary World Champion bull rider Freckles Brown.
Famous for his signature yellow shirt with red fringe and bright red cowboy hat, John keeps crowds entertained with comedy, crowd interaction, and surprise acts that can pop up at any moment. Fans can catch him during all four performances of the California Rodeo Salinas, July 16–19, 2026.
