SALINAS, CA, January 22, 2013 – After more than 100 years of putting on a prestigious event, the California Rodeo Salinas has amassed quite the treasure of individuals who have served on committees, worked at the rodeo, competed here and much more. These individuals deserve to be recognized as part of the legacy of the California Rodeo Salinas. During the centennial celebration of the California Rodeo in 2010, the first class of Hall of Fame Inductees was honored. Now in its 3rd year, the California Rodeo Hall of Fame will once again induct worthy individuals who have contributed to the organization in various ways.
Categories for induction include: Committee Members, Livestock, Contestants, Contract Personnel/Performers, Notables, Supporters/Contributers and Staff. Applications are due on February 26th and are available online at http://www.carodeo.com/history/hall-of-fame/ or at the Rodeo Office at 1034 N. Main Street in Salinas. Operating hours are Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm.
An Induction luncheon will take place on Thursday July 18th on the California Rodeo’s Director’s Patio at the Salinas Sports Complex at 1034 N. Main Street at 11:30am. More information about the event will be announced when inductees are revealed in April.
