On Saturday July19, 2014 during the 3rd performance of the 104th California Rodeo Salinas a team roping steer sustained a minor injury during the event. The steer was immediately evaluated by the official rodeo veterinarian and a mild pain medication was administered. As a precaution the steer was transported to a veterinary clinic where x-rays were taken and were negative for any fracture. The steer is currently bearing weight on all four legs and eating.
