SALINAS, CA,
July 3, 2013 –The 103rd California
Rodeo Salinas is rapidly approaching. The Rodeo is a not-for-profit event
steeped in heritage and tradition, with time-honored rodeo events held during the
four days along with entertainment on the track, shopping, cantinas and more.
The week preceding the Rodeo is filled with poetry, a carnival, parades and
Professional Bull Riding. This annual week of activities consistently draws
over 50,000 people to Salinas and has a positive impact on the community.
The California Rodeo
Association strives to enhance the community beyond one week of Rodeo. It gives
back of over $350,000 to local non-profit organizations; many of these groups help
put on the Rodeo and other events by providing vending, parking and other services.
The California Rodeo Association could not continue to give back without the
support of our many sponsors. Most sponsors are local and the California Rodeo
hopes that our patrons will thank them by visiting their businesses and using
their products or services.
Sponsors are getting more creative and working with the Rodeo’s
Marketing and Sponsorship teams to cross promote their businesses or Rodeo initiatives
in unique ways. There have been mannequins dressed as cowboys, social media
contests, logos on grocery bags, flowers sold for a cause, text to win tickets
promotions, stickers on trucks and more throughout the year. Sponsorship
opportunities are still available for the 2013 Rodeo and it is not too early to
talk about 2014. Sponsorship Coordinators Victoria Rossi and Barbara Balentine
