SALINAS, July 24, 2007-The 97^th Annual California Rodeo Salinas ended on Sunday July 22^nd with a crowd of over 12,000 people taking in the action during the final round of the rodeo. Spectators were wowed by arena events as Marty Becker from Alberta, Canada earned the All-Around Cowboy title. Other festivities outside of the arena included the Fiesta Cantina, shopping, Teen Lounge and more.

Almost 42,000 people visited the Salinas Sports Complex over the four days of the California Rodeo Salinas, an increase of almost 12% from 2006.  The new Toyota Instant Replay Screen contributed to the success of the event with non-stop action replays as did the Electric Rodeo in the Teen Lounge where participants played video games and had the chance to win iPod shuffles and a Nintendo Wii. The weather was mild and entertainment on the track and in the arena was non-stop with the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Clown of the Year Keith Isley demonstrating his rope tricks and the freestyle bullfighters ending each performance with daring exhibitions of agility.
