Signature Yellow Bumper Stickers hit the Road...and not just on Vehicles

SALINAS, CA - October 6, 2009 - The California Rodeo Salinas is celebrating 100 Years of Tradition in 2010 and our fans can help spread the word by taking the signature yellow California Rodeo Salinas bumper sticker out and about during their travels and sending in or posting digital photos of their travels. These stickers are local icons seen on bumpers all over Monterey County and soon they will be spotted around the globe.

Fans, competitors and supporters of the California Rodeo Salinas from all over can now showcase our yellow bumper sticker on their vehicles or take them with them during travels around the world. The bumper stickers are complimentary if they are picked up in-person at the California Rodeo Office and are now also available online at http://www.carodeo.com/store/ for $1.00.

Travels with the bumper stickers don't have to be international trips or extravagant destinations, just interesting places that you visit and show off the yellow sticker. Snap photos with musicians, friends, family, statues and more. Creativity is encouraged.

From October of 2009 through June 2010, the California Rodeo Salinas will ask you to take photos with the bumper stickers during your travels and email them to mroth@carodeo.com or post them to our Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/pages/Salinas-CA/California-Rodeo-Salinas/57066822739?ref=nf

The California Rodeo's Marketing Committee will review all of the submitted photos and choose 5 winners to receive a 2010 Commemorative Rodeo baseball cap ($25 value). Include your contact email when submitting photos for the contest.

Get your bumper sticker online at www.CARODEO.com or by coming into the California Rodeo Salinas office at 1034 N. Main Street in Salinas (Monday -Friday 9am to 5pm). Deadline for sending in your photos is May 31, 2010.

The California Rodeo Salinas will celebrate 100 Years of Tradition July 15-18, 2010. The California Rodeo Association is a non-profit organization that strives to preserve and promote the traditions of the California Rodeo Salinas and the West. We support the community and other non-profit organizations through the staging of the annual California Rodeo Salinas and other year round operations of the Salinas Sports Complex. Through donation of our facility, vending and fundraising opportunities during Rodeo and other events, the California Rodeo Association returns over $200,000 annually to local non-profits.
