Blair Smittcamp
Miss California Rodeo 2008

Daughter of Bill and Linda Smittcamp, 19-year-old Blair Smittcamp joins us from Clovis, California.  Blair is representing the Old Town Clovis Kiwanis Club.  Her love for horses began at an early age and she became an active member in barrel racing organizations in California and nationwide.  Two years ago, Blair began showing reining cow horses in the Valley Cow Horse Association and the National Reining Cow Horse Association.  Currently attending California State University Fresno and majoring in Mass Communications and Journalism she plans to pursue a career in public relations.  Blair’s involvement with Delta Gamma sorority keeps her busy with community involvement and school leadership.

Each July, several young women converge upon Salinas from every section of the state to participate in this festive occasion. The winner takes home a $2,500 cash scholarship to be used at the college of her choice, a gold, silver and diamond-studded trophy belt buckle, the use of a two-horse trailer for one year, along with many other lovely gifts and the honor of wearing the Miss California Rodeo gold and silver tiara.
